Why Southern Escape Safari?

Southern Escape Safari – Tanzania’s Untouched Wilderness

Southern Tanzania is the hidden treasure of African safaris — a land of vast, remote landscapes, incredible wildlife diversity, and tranquil wilderness far from the crowds. Choosing this circuit means embracing a more exclusive safari experience that combines raw adventure with serene beauty.

World-Class Wildlife Experiences

Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve): One of Africa’s largest protected areas, where river safaris, walking safaris, and classic game drives reveal elephants, lions, wild dogs, and hippos along the mighty Rufiji River.

Ruaha National Park: Tanzania’s largest national park, famous for its rugged beauty, huge elephant herds, and predators including lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

Mikumi National Park: Often called a “mini-Serengeti,” Mikumi offers open plains rich with wildlife and is perfect for shorter, yet rewarding, game drives.

Udzungwa Mountains: A paradise for hikers, with lush rainforests, waterfalls, and unique primates found nowhere else in the world.

Breathtaking Landscapes

From the meandering waterways of the Rufiji River to Ruaha’s rocky outcrops and sweeping savannahs, Southern Tanzania is full of dramatic scenery. Every corner reveals a new contrast — wetlands, forests, mountains, and vast plains.

Authentic and Exclusive Encounters

Southern Tanzania offers a more intimate safari. Fewer tourists mean you can truly connect with nature, enjoy uncrowded sightings, and experience the wild as it was meant to be.

A Year-Round Safari Gem

While best visited in the dry season (June–October), Southern Tanzania delivers unforgettable moments year-round — whether it’s predator action, migratory birdlife, or breathtaking sunsets over the bush.
